When Carl Fischer passed away last year, there were a handful of appreciations that gave us a sense of his accomplishments, especially in the world of magazine photography and art direction. Fischer is most closely associated with Esquire, where he photographed Muhammad Ali, Andy Warhol, Sonny Liston and others. But his work extended beyond Esquire. Thanks to his estate, we present a sampling of his advertising and magazine work, from Esky and beyond. Dig in.
